We believe that every child deserves comfort, dignity, and hope. Our mission is to provide essentials and financial support to children in foster care and young adults aging out of the system — ensuring they feel valued, supported, and empowered to build a brighter future.
The Wishing Well provides new and gently-used clothing and school supplies to children 0-18 years of age who are currently placed in the foster care system and in extended foster care in Pierce County and 7 surrounding counties. We are the only foster support agency of its kind working in Pierce County and 7 surrounding counties.
We are a nonprofit support agency focused on the well-being of abused and neglected youth within the foster care and extended foster care system.
There are currently 6,192 children in the foster care system in Washington State.
This represents approximately 3.4 out of every 1,000 children in Washington State in need of basic care items.
